This past weekends' powwow was the funnest powwow I have been to. I got to dress up Kaylani....she was so pretty. I stayed with Sherry on the first night and then with Kenny on the second.

I had some lunch in the park with Dwight's Family on Saturday. I just went to this park to do some beadwork before the powwow because I had to check out of the room Sherry and I and her mom were all staying in. I thought that was funny. They just came to the park and see me sitting there.

I did a good job dancing and I wore my beaded cape for the first time!! I really liked having a beaded cape...it doesn't fly around. I am ready to bead my second one now too. I need to bead some leggings and a new choker as well. I am sure glad I got that other beadwork done too. I am going to be getting a sewing machine soon too so I can whip out some beautiful regalias!!

So today I am back at my new job. I need to get settled in with my mind off of my old job.

So I am not traveling the world this summer but I am having a great time here.

I had such a fun time. I sat by summer's mom and her family. Then I saw Kenny's family and they sat by me as well. My brother John came out too...he talks so crazy with all his friends. I drank so many lemonades and lime -ades...only 2 of each...but still. I drank several bottles of water and had a smoothie...I had half of an ndn taco. It was great!! I didnt' get all tired from dancing either...I had fun with it. Thomas asked me if I placed....but I didn't. I was told my beadwork was pretty and the best fancy shawl dancer there commented on the shawl my sister made for me. I met a new fancy shawl dancer...she is from Utah. Hopefully I will get to see her again.

Saturday night after the powwow I felt so gross...it was so hot out there...it was about 108 or 110 or something...the sun was so strong and it was dusty. SO I was sweaty and dusty...yuck!! I took a shower right when I got to Kenny's house. I went to bed at 3 or somethin in the a.m. In the morning I watched Ice age with Kaylani. i have never seen that movie but it's pretty funny.

Then I went to the powwow. Little kids are funny.

I had my brother part my hair on Saturday before the powwow....his friend came walking out to the parking lot and looked at him funny. ha ha. The next morning I had Kenny do it for me...that was funny.

Anyway I need to get back to work.
